Hi I’m Alena Gallaro grandchild to Denise Gallaro and daughter of Mike and Jen Gallaro. I have a brother Michael Gallaro and a sister Emma Gallaro. I just found out about this website from my dad Mike Gallaro and I decided to read everything you posted and I found a lot out about my family.
Hi Alena! Wow! It’s great to meet you. I guess you’re around my daughter Lili’s age (15 going on 16)? How about your brother Mike and sister Emma? Haven’t seen your dad and mom for so long. We’ll have to all get together next time I come Stateside. Glad you liked the blog. I guess you read that you’re descended from nobility (in fact, you’re actually a Dame, or female Knight, of the Holy Roman Empire). Pretty cool, huh? Anyway, I plan to add more history and more pictures, so check back for new posts, my grand-niece. Love, Uncle Tony
No I’m 12 . My brother is 10 and my sister is 9. Yes i would love to get together if you come stateside. Love alena
If you have an iphone my mom said I can text you pictures of my family. If you do not then provide me with your address.
Yes, I’d love to see some pics of you guys! Can you send one of the whole family too, Alena? And ask your mom if I can post them here on this website for Lili to (hopefully) see. I guess you’ve read by now how my daughter and I have become estranged. 😦 This is my only way to communicate with her, really. I’m trying to do what I can to tell her about her relatives in the States. My iPhone number is:
tony.del.vecchio@i.softbank.jp
Say hi to everybody for me!
Love,
Uncle Tony
And by the way, I can’t believe how well you write for a twelve-year-old kid! (I should know, too. I’m an English teacher. LOL)
Hi Tony, my name is Hannah- I am your nephew Mark’s girlfriend of about 9 years. I have always loved looking at family photos (even if they don’t belong to my own family- which Mark finds a little weird) and a few years ago I offered to organize a huge bin of photos that Dave had into albums. I came across a few photos of Liliana and Mark explained to me who she is and about your website. I just wanted to tell you that it’s beautiful!
Hi Hannah, Great to meet you! Thanks for looking after my nephew. Next time I’m back on the East Coast let’s be sure to get together. Hopefully some day you can meet Mark’s cousin Lili as well. Only time will tell. Best, Tony
Tony- just came across your site trying to connect with your daughter. It’s my hope that your daughter sees this site, and recognizes and embraces, and acts on, the true and deep love you have for her.
And if by chance Lili reads this post, I say to her that your father’s love is pure and his intentions honorable and heartfelt. Life is fleeting and we’ll never get time back. Connect with your dad now and make up your own mind about him. Your life will be richer and more meaningful when you do. Bob Yeadon
Thanks, Bob. I’ve been running this blog for Lili for 12 years now. Kind of like sending messages in a bottle. It’s so sad, because we once were so close. I hope and pray every day that she finds her way back to me and that we can pick up where we left off. She’s my only child, and whatever she’s been made to believe over the years, I’m her only father. Nothing and nobody can change this reality. So until the day comes when we’re reunited, “Dum spiro spero” (As I breathe, I hope.) Big love to you, my brother, and Carolina. It’s been way too long since we’ve done a trip up to the ADKs. I’ll try to make that happen soon as I can.
Thought this might bring back some memories…..
